POSTCARD FROM ABADIÂNIA NOVEMBER 2012

Greetings fellow pilgrims on this amazing journey through life.

Well here we are at the end of the final 2012 tour to the healing centre that is the Casa de Dom Inácio, Abadiânia, Brazil and also almost at the end of 2012. We are all, without exception, going through a time of tremendous transition, both internal and external, and often we are so close to that process of change that we don’t see it. How consciously we respond to it and how we actually respond to change has been very much the theme of this tour.

There has been the usual roller coaster of laughter and tears and laughter again, culminating in a sense of lightness and playfulness throughout the entire group.

There is a conscious sense of CHOICE among the participants as to what they do here and the attitudes that they carry towards themselves and the world around them. With this came a letting go of SHOULD. With that letting go came the arrival in another place in which decisions are based on what feels appropriate rather than on that overwhelming SHOULD charged with all the fear of, “what might happen if I get it wrong”, that underpins it.

That is the essential CHOICE. Do we operate from a fear based SHOULD or from somewhere deeper and more heart centred and thus more intuitive and appropriate?

The choices can be simple. Do we get agitated when there are a lot of noisy people or yowling cats around? Do we get upset when life is not unfolding according to our expectations? Or do we look for the space of peace and equilibrium even in these moments?

“It is easy to smile when life goes along like a sweet song. But the person worthwhile is the person who can really smile when everything goes dead wrong.”

The Dalai Lama once said “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.”

How best do we do this? Our primary role is to keep ourselves in balance, to find the place of equanimity within. This is the foundation of good health on all levels. When others experience us in alignment this assists them to be in alignment also. Equanimity is contagious. That is the greatest help we can give anyone including ourselves.

Gandhi said “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. Is it ultimately peace and harmony we are looking for in the outer world? If it is, then find it within.

Deepak Chopra recently gave a lecture which concisely and eloquently surveys the most recent research proofs relating to this: Deepak Chopra - Physical Healing, Emotional Wellbeing

Another way of relating to that peace and harmony is to seek the Divinity in all situations. This includes our ailments. There is a gift in them for each of us, and also for those around the person with the ailment, no matter how scary and divorced from the Divine it might seem. “Seek and you will find”, “the Kingdom of God is within you”.

This is the gift we can find through opening to all those forces working with us and our personal journeys of awakening. This is what coming to the Casa de Dom Inácio in Brazil is all about.

TOURS FOR 2013

As I shall be Jerusalem for 3 months in the middle of 2013 there will only be 2 scheduled tours: MARCH 18 and NOVEMBER. Should Jerusalem become inaccessible that may change.

The MARCH TOUR already has a lot of interest and places are limited so it will be on a first come first served basis. If interested please contact me asap on info@johnofgod.co.nz

Please refer to Tour Information for detailed information about the tours.

SPECIAL THURSDAY NIGHT MEDITATIONS

We are asked to put aside 15 minutes on Thursdays at 9pm to mediate for Medium Joao’s health . Work within your local time zone wherever that is. I continue to hear some startling stories about people’s experiences when they do set time aside for this mediation.

MEDITATION GROUPS

You can also join us at NZ standard time for our other meditation sessions if you cannot make them. Better still set up a group at home to coincide with those times. One such group already exists in Invercargill for anyone interested.

Our Wellington meditations are open to anyone wishing to come along to bathe in the energy for their own healing and/or to provide energy for the healing of others.

The session times are:

Natural Health Centre

Level 2, 53 Courtenay Place, Wellington

Casa de José

14 Laura Ave, Brooklyn, Wellington

For more information about the Casa de José, please visit our website: www.casadejose.org.nz.
